Hispanic Heritage Community Fair set for Oct. 6 in Salem
In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, the community is invited to the Hispanic Heritage Community Fair: “Together, We are More” on Tuesday, Oct. 6, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Oregon State Fire Marshal Headquarters, 3991 Fairview Industrial Dr. SE, Salem.
“The Hispanic Heritage Community Fair is a fantastic opportunity to celebrate Oregon’s vibrant Hispanic and LatinX communities,” Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife Statewide Community Engagement Coordinator Antonio Salgado said. “Events like this highlight how deeply connected our public safety, natural resource, and community programs really are”.
This vibrant community fair will highlight Hispanic cultures, traditions, and local entrepreneurship through food, music, and community engagement. Attendees will have the opportunity to enjoy an array of flavorful offerings from local vendors, including:
- Tocos La Familia
- Los Argentinos
- Minas Sweet Temptations
- Café Chula
- Pupusas Chileros
- Miches Del Valle
- Ricos Tacos n Hotdogs
- Vianney’s Tamales
The event is sponsored in part by the Oregon State Fire Marshal, the Oregon Department of Emergency Management, the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife, the Oregon Department of Corrections, and the Oregon State Police.
